Rachael Ray Cast Iron Fondue Set

The first impression of this set is that it is simply gorgeous! A brilliant blue color (also available in orange), the set is made from cast iron and covered in a porcelain enamel which gives it a shiny, classy look. It comes with a fondue pot, iron base, fuel holder, and six fondue forks with different colors at the top so everyone knows whose fork is whose.

Blue Rachael Ray Fondue Set
The fondue pot is extremely durable and well made. The cast iron construction allows it to retain and distribute heat extremely well. Handles extend from the edge of the pot making it easy to carry. They are also made from iron, so they can get very hot. Be sure to use potholders to move the pot around if it is heated.

The set uses liquid fuel, which is cheaper and easier to find than the gel or sterno cans that some fondue pots use. While not as cheap or convenient as an electric set, the lack of a cord allows for the set to be moved around easily and put in locations that a cord wouldn’t be able to reach (Like that romantic dinner under the stars).

Orange Rachael Ray Fondue Set
While not dishwasher safe, the pot is still very easy to clean with a bit of soap and water. Be sure to dry it well so that the iron doesn’t rust.

Pros:

Classy looking, sturdy cast-iron construction, retains and distributes heat well, easy to transport, easy to clean, lifetime warranty.

Cons:

Nothing obvious.

The Bottom Line:

The Rachael Ray 1.5-qt. Cast Iron Fondue Set performs as well as it looks (which is saying a lot!). It’s damn near unbreakable, retains heat well, and is easy to clean. If you are looking for a fuel fondue set, you won’t have to look much farther than this one.
